I have a PGCE in Primary Education from Hibernia College, Ireland and I also hold a full TEFL certificate. I have been working for the past three and a half years in Iale International School, Valencia. One of these years was online teaching due to the covid pandemic. Previously, I spent two years teaching English online to children in China, while I lived and travelled in Central America. Prior to this I taught for five years in British schools in Dubai, where English was being taught as a second language to multicultural children from all over the world. I also taught private lessons to adults in business English and for exam preparation. In these ten years, I have gained invaluable experience teaching English as a foreign language and teaching English online.

My name is Sarah and I am a native English speaker from Ireland. I hold a TEFL certificate and I am also a fully qualified primary school teacher. I have over ten years teaching experience, including both in-class and online teaching. I started my teaching career in Dubai, where I spent five years teaching English to multicultural children and adults from all over the world. From there, I spent two years teaching English online to children and adults in China, while I travelled and studied in Latin America. For the past four years, I have been teaching English as a foreign language in a primary school in Valencia, Spain. These four years have included both in-class and online teaching. In these eleven years, I have gained invaluable experience teaching English as a foreign language and also teaching English online. I would describe myself as calm, patient, hard-working and having a good sense of humour. I like to create a safe and pleasant atmosphere in my classroom. I recognise that each learner has their own learning style, so it is necessary to teach in a concise way that each learner can understand. I enjoy using a variety of teaching methodologies and strategies in my lessons. My aim is always to have a happy and industrious classroom, through the preparation of interesting and relevant lessons. I am passionate about traveling and I love to learn about new cultures. I also love to learn new languages and I have a conversational level of Spanish. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
