My Qualifications
Following an Undergrad degree in Education and a Masters degree in English, I've been working as a Primary School teacher and tutor now for six years. I apply strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum to enhance attainment levels, and on a daily basis produce modules and adapt teaching resources for different learning styles. I teach mainly in years 5 and 6, preparing children of all levels for SATS tests and 11+ exams, but I have also worked with years 3 and 4. Outside of work, I have also tutored 13 children ages 6-11 in English and Maths to reach their goals and help them to become confident, independent learners.
About me
I've been working as a Primary School teacher for 5 years and as a Tutor for 7 years. I specialise in Maths and English, and have tutored 13 children 6-11 in the last few years, helping many to achieve their best possible results in their SATS, 7+ and 11+ exams. As an educator, I like to find out how best my students learn and adapt lesson plans to suit them, all the while providing continuous feedback. I set crafted, instructional activities with attainable goals, empowering students to learn new skills in a positive and encouraging environment. I understand that we all find some topics a little tricky, but my aim is to instil a can-do attitude in all my students in the hopes they become confident learners, who know they can do absolutely anything!
