My Qualifications
I have 3 A levels, in English Literature, Biology and Religion & Philosophy. I achieved A*,A,A for these. I also did an EPQ, my grade for which was an A*. At GCSE I received 11 grade 9s, in the core subjects (triple science) as well as Mandarin, Spanish, Classical Civilisation, Ancient Greek and Drama. I feel most confident tutoring GCSE Science as I find the syllabuses very compatible with my style of teaching, and because I have experience of tutoring in this area. I am currently studying at a top UK university, on a course that encompasses humanities subjects, social sciences, maths and a language (Spanish). It is possible that at some point I may be able to teach in Spanish, however currently I have some difficulty with speaking in Spanish.
About me
Hi there! I am Laura, a first-year student at UCL. I feel most confident teaching GCSE sciences as I feel that the syllabuses compliment my tutoring style very well in that they enable me to be very thorough which is what I always strive for. It is also the area of tutoring that I currently have experience in. Although, as I am only 18, I may have less experience than other candidates, I can assure you that I can offer a lot of help, especially because of how much effort I am willing to put in. I may also be a good fit for some students who feel they would rather be around someone still in the education system themselves.
