I am currently a postgraduate student at the Institute of Education at UCL, pursuing a master's degree in TESOL. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate studies in Business English in China. During my studies, I developed strong language and communication skills, which I have honed through my previous teaching experience. I have four years of experience teaching English, primarily focused on KET, PET, and FCE exams, as well as reading, listening, and writing skills. This experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of teaching methodologies and techniques, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.

Hello, my name is Aky and I am excited to tell you a little bit about myself. I have a passion for teaching and have been fortunate to have had several years of experience in various teaching settings. I specialize in teaching English as a second language and have experience working with students from different age groups, levels of proficiency and cultural backgrounds. My teaching methods are tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student. I believe that learning should be fun, engaging and interactive, and I incorporate a variety of activities and materials into my lessons to keep students motivated and interested. During my years of teaching, I have developed a keen eye for identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses and tailoring my lessons to focus on areas that need improvement. I enjoy creating a relaxed, non-judgmental and supportive learning environment that encourages students to take risks and build their confidence in using the language. Apart from teaching, I am passionate about learning new things, travelling, and meeting new people. I believe that exposure to different cultures and languages is key to gaining a better understanding of the world around us, and I encourage my students to embrace this mindset in their own learning journeys.
