Hi! My name is Emma, welcome to my profile! I studied a 4 year degree in Psychology and then completed Teach First to qualify as a Maths Teacher. I have taught secondary maths for 3 years and tutored maths for 2 years prior to and alongside this. Before my degree, I studied A-Level Mathematics, Psychology and History. I have tutored students for 2 years and have just joined nice tutor.

𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: To start your journey, please let me know your exam board and tier. This helps me prepare the relevant material for your lessons. With past students I have discussed areas they would like to go over, looked at reports from teachers to identify gaps in knowledge or followed schemes of work. I have also provided self assessments to identify gaps in knowledge if students are not sure where to start. In preparation for lessons, I ask students to think about topics/papers they would like to go through. Please send across any specific questions to me at least a day before our lesson. I am happy to set homework upon request. I do not want to add to any stress to the student, so this is completely optional. Lastly, I am here to help YOU. I strive to create a positive, non judgemental safe space to learn and grow. Any questions - just ask!
