Arindam

Prof. Arindam Mitra is a student-centric Professor of Microbiology with expertise in Biotechnology and allied life sciences. With a decade of experience supporting students, developing instructional plans, and organizing and grading exams and tests in the university setting, he is commended for sustaining an effective learning environment through prepared classes and relevant assignments, consistently achieving academic goals. His skills include teaching, research, administration, leadership, problem-solving, creative thinking, and academic writing. Prof. Mitra's work history includes serving as a Professor at Adamas University, Kolkata, where he also worked as the Head of the Department of Microbiology, managing a team of faculty members and students.

He is the editor of five international peer-reviewed journals and a reviewer for numerous reputed peer-reviewed journals. He has received consistent funding from the Microbiology Society, UK, to organize workshops, conferences, seminars, and talks. Previously, he worked as a Senior Assistant Professor at SASTRA University, where he developed a curriculum and delivered courses related to Biotechnology, mentored students, and received grants from the university.

He also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Arizona State University, where he contributed to research on vaccine candidates for Salmonella gallinarum, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where he conducted work on genetic circuits in pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli. Prof. Mitra holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and an M. Tech. in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University.

He also has a B. Pharma degree from Jadavpur University. He has authored books, including "Foundations of Microbiology" and "Microbial Biofilms: Current Research and Practical Implications," and published numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals.
