About me
My name is Ali-Ayman, I am currently a student studying MEng Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Edinburgh; the 2022-2023 academic year being my first after completing my A Levels (UK school leaving qualification) in the British International School Riyadh last year (2021-2022), for the subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry and Economics, and obtaining the grades A*AA respectively. I also completed my GCSE's and IGCSE's (exams done before school leaving at age 16) in the British International School of Riyadh (details listed below). I have a high level of knowledge and understanding in the fundamentals, advanced topics and exam specifications of general STEM subjects and Economics at lower and upper secondary school levels (and at lower university level, especially for Mathematics given my completion of the first year); with my strengths being focused on Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Economics, and evidence for my competence can be seen through my qualifications. I offer mainly online (remote) lessons, my teaching style involves starting off by explaining all the concepts (preferably starting off with prior knowledge basics associated with a particular topic, for any of the subjects listed above); and this will be done mainly using diagrams (which I will draw or import), and digital notes. After this I will encourage the student to ask questions about the concepts covered in the lesson (which I will then answer, and may have a discussion about), then I will usually go over past exam questions on the particular topic to help show the student how to apply the covered knowledge areas to actual questions that may come up in an exam, and at least once every two lessons I will ask then ask the student to attempt a past paper question on their own, for which we will then go over after completion.
